Clinical governance and supervision

We operate a well-governed service with clear professional standards.

Our therapists:

  • Are HCPC-registered and practise in line with HCPC standards and professional ethics

  • Are members of the British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT)

  • Hold Enhanced DBS clearance, are all registered on the auto-renewal service and have completed Safeguarding Level 3 training (children and adults)

  • Follow robust policies for consent, confidentiality, risk management and record keeping

  • Maintain ICO registration, complete GDPR and Prevent training, and work within secure data handling processes

  • Receive monthly in-house supervision and CPD and also maintain independent external supervision

All our team members are highly proficient musicians with professional performance experience. We value strong musicianship because it allows therapy to be flexible, responsive and clinically precise.

Serenna Wagner

Founder and Clinical Director | HCPC-Registered Neurologic Music Therapist | Fellow, Global Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy® | Bond Solon Expert Witness | Member of CMSUK and B.A.B.I.C.M

Serenna is an experienced therapist, professional classical singer and multi-instrumentalist. She has worked with a diverse caseload of adults and children for many years and is deeply passionate about the power of music therapy to transform lives. She specialises in work with clients who have experienced a brain injury, with a particular emphasis on speech and communication rehabilitation and joint working with Speech and Language Therapy (SLT).

Serenna is undertaking a PhD at the Cambridge Institute for Music Therapy Research, focused on integrating speech and language therapy, Neurologic Music Therapy® and classical singing expertise to support communication recovery. She also holds Bond Solon expert witness training, supporting high standards in medico-legal work and professional reporting, and she presents and lectures on her work nationally and internationally.

Saphia Amer

Practice Co-ordinator & Therapist Liaison | HCPC-Registered Music Therapist

Saphia brings a wealth of experience from the healthcare sector, with seven years’ clinical work as a music therapist in schools, care homes and family homes. She has supported children, young people and adults across dementia, brain injury, learning disabilities and adoption contexts.

Alongside her clinical experience with expertise in piano and voice, Saphia excels at practice co-ordination and is central to keeping referrals, scheduling and communication with professional teams smooth, responsive and well-organised.

Hannah James

HCPC-Registered Music Therapist

Hannah has extensive clinical experience supporting adults and children with complex emotional, neurological and physical needs. She has worked in hospice care supporting individuals at end of life and their families, and in private practice delivering personalised music therapy for children with ADHD, autism, cerebral palsy and global developmental delay.

A vocal specialist and multi-instrumentalist, Hannah has a particular interest in neurorehabilitation and works with adults following brain trauma to support speech, emotional expression and cognitive recovery using rhythm, song and structured improvisation. Her approach is person-centred, emotionally attuned and grounded in evidence-informed practice.

Eunice Yung

HCPC-Registered Music Therapist

Eunice has extensive international experience across clinical and educational settings, with work in the UK, US and Hong Kong. She supports clients with brain injury, dementia, mental health needs and developmental delays, and brings a compassionate, evidence-informed approach rooted in Neurologic Music Therapy® (NMT™) principles.

Eunice is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and her musical skills (including voice, clarinet, violin, piano and guitar) allow her to adapt sensitively to individual needs and deliver culturally responsive therapy that complements multidisciplinary care.

Lauren Hollis-Hill

HCPC-Registered Neurologic Music Therapist

An alumna of the prestigious Chetham’s School of Music, Lauren is a highly skilled and versatile Neurologic Music Therapist and musician, with expertise across voice and a range of instruments including ‘cello, piano, organ, guitar and others. She has worked with a diverse caseload including SEN, learning disabilities and mental health needs. Lauren also brings valuable experience as a teacher and carer, alongside her work as a professional performer.

Jessica Tiso

HCPC-Registered Neurologic Music Therapist

Jess is an enthusiastic and compassionate music therapist with experience across the Midlands, supporting adults and children with a wide range of needs including mental health, learning disabilities, autism and dementia. She has been a musician for over 20 years, with expertise including saxophone, flute, clarinet, ukulele and voice.

Jess’s compassionate and practical approach is shaped by previous work as a SEN teaching assistant and community support worker, bringing a practical and relational understanding to her therapy work.

Izzy Crook

HCPC-Registered Neurologic Music Therapist

Izzy is a Neurologic Music Therapist based in South Yorkshire with expertise in voice, piano and violin. She takes a humanistic, resource-orientated approach, focusing on clients’ strengths and priorities. Izzy has worked across the lifespan with a range of physical, cognitive and psychological needs, including work in clients’ homes, hospices, residential and dementia care, hospital settings, SEN and mainstream schools.

With a background as a chorister and training in classical singing, Izzy is particularly interested in how music is embodied within each of us. Izzy is passionate about moving clients towards greater autonomy and supporting communication preferences through the multi-layered language of music.
